Duke of York's Theatre

Opening in 1892 under the name Trafalgar Square Theatre, The Duke of York's Theatre changed its name only a few short years later in 1895. This change was in honour of the future King George V.

Since 1895, the Duke of York's theatre has played host to a vast range of world-famous productions and star studded casts. Some of the theatres most notable appearances are Charlie Chaplin's West End debut in Sherlock Holmes and Orlando Bloom in In Celebration.
