'Time to Bloom' by Caroline Dowsett

📍Central Avenue, The Market Building

Caroline Dowsett is a multidisciplinary artist from Manchester, working with a joyful, harmonious coming together of colour, shape and type to promote positivity, and mindfulness. Working for her shared studio, The Engine House at Islington mill, she creates a wide array of work from murals, branding, paintings and prints. Her clients include New York Times, Covent Garden, Treehouse Hotels, Fred Aldous, Pollen Bakery and The Whitworth Art Gallery.

This hand painted egg ‘Time to bloom’ is inspired by this time of year, spring, where everything is starting to wake up and blossom. The colours evoke feeling of joy and optimism, as the season of spring does for all living things. The abstract shapes are directly inspired by the shapes we see in nature as this time of year, with the tones from English nature palettes.

'The Egg Shell Grotto' by Duncan Campbell x Charlotte Rey

📍Outside Urban Outfitters

Campbell-Rey is an award-winning atelier founded by Duncan Campbell and Charlotte Rey. Working fluently between residential and commercial interiors, furniture design and artistic projects, their world is a celebration of colour and craftsmanship. With a love of historical architecture, traditional decorative techniques, and the ability to create dialogues between styles, periods and objects, their work is imbued with a playful, irreverent spirit and a desire to make magic.

This egg is inspired by the 18th century English tradition of shell grottoes, themselves inspired by an Italian renaissance take on the classical world. A playful homage to this whimsical decoration style, the Egg Shell Grotto is an egg decorated with applied shells to create a romantic nod to the baroque motifs found in architectural shellwork. The result is a striking egg created with sustainably sourced shells.

'A McQueen Double Volume: Food for Thought' by James McQueen

📍West Piazza South Hall

Using book cover designs as a method of communication, James McQueen’s paintings explore themes of Pop art, conceptual art and abstraction. McQueen’s complex application of paint elevates his art beyond the mere imitation of a nostalgic object towards an art that is rich and expressive, choosing to represent these books not as they were when they were first published, but as they are today: stained and faded with tattered edges.

James McQueen has reimagined two of his most popular slogans for his Easter egg: ‘NO RISK NO STORY’ and ‘IT IS WHAT IT IS’. The work combines many of his trademark motifs in this playful shape, including his trademark monkey insignia, vibrant polka dots, and thick, visible layers of paint, showcasing a fresh and innovative way of representing an iconic book cover.

'Spectrum Circle Egg' by Rob and Nick Carter

📍Neal's Yard

Rob and Nick Carter, a London-based husband-and-wife duo, have collaborated for over 25 years. Their work, blending analogue and digital techniques, is in major collections worldwide, including the Victoria & Albert Museum and The Frick, Pittsburgh. They reference historical processes while embracing new technologies. Their gallery, RNat5A, showcases their art, and they are the first living artists exhibited at The Frick Museum, New York.

Renowned artists Rob and Nick Carter created a striking egg for The Big Egg Hunt, supporting the Elephant Family. Wrapped in vibrant vinyl and adorned with Spectrum Circles, it symbolises transformation and continuity. Concentric circles radiate from a nucleus, reflecting nature’s cycles of birth, growth, and rebirth. The artwork highlights humanity’s connection to nature, urging reflection on life’s fragility and our role in preserving harmony and sustainability.

'Eclosion' by Dominic Harris

📍In front of The Market Building, outside Dolce & Gabanna

Dominic Harris (b. 1976, London) is a digital artist whose interactive works merge nature with technology. Blending architectural precision with poetic code, his art explores transformation, perception, and the impact of digital culture. Often featuring flowers, butterflies, and dynamic interaction, his creations are both captivating and thought-provoking. An architect by training, Harris now leads his multidisciplinary studio in Notting Hill, crafting highly immersive digital experiences.

'Eclosion' captures the fleeting moment a butterfly emerges from its chrysalis. A Yves Klein blueegg, fractured with veins of gold, cradles a single butterfly—symbolising transformation, imperfection, and resilience. The contrast between organic fragility and digital precision invites reflection on beauty, change, and the delicate power of nature in a synthetic world.
